How to Judge Good Quality PVC Compound

If you don’t have any laboratory devices for the quality check. This article will help you to learn how to judge the fitting PVC compound quality in simplified way.

1. By surface checking visually

Check the finished fitting surface surface and the inside, to see if it’s shining. 

Check the surface around the inject mouth, to see if there’s flowing lines.

 

2. By weight

Compare the fitting weight (make sure they are in same mold), if the weight is higher than the PVC compound you are using now, this means the new material add more CaCO3. If too much CaCO3 added, it will influence the surface condition and make the PVC fitting very easy to broken.

3. Check the PVC Compound injection Process Window

Trying the PVC compound with different sizes and molds, check the PVC compound performance in different diameters and thickness. 

4. By insert into pipes or fittings

Good quality PVC compound made fitting will not have cracks when inserting.

5. Impact Resistance

Using hammer to hit the fitting to see if it will broken.
